Choosing a Player for CaptureGem VR Recordings

A CaptureGem VR recording is a local media file. CaptureGem saves VR shows from StripchatVR, Dreamcam and SexLikeReal as side-by-side files with a 120-degree fisheye picture, marked by _F120_LR at the end of the file name. It doesn’t embed spatial metadata, so your player may not detect the layout automatically.

Choose a player available on your device that can open the file’s codec and lets you set the projection, stereo layout and field of view. CaptureGem’s own FAQ recommends HereSphere (available on Steam): in its advanced settings, choose Fisheye and side-by-side (SBS), set the field of view to 120 degrees and the aspect ratio to auto. Test a short recording before organizing a large library around one player. If the image looks flat, doubled, or warped, check those settings first.

Preserve the original recording while testing a converted or metadata-edited copy. See VR playback and recording troubleshooting.
