Playing CaptureGem VR Recordings

CaptureGem can save available VR streams as recordings, but your VR player still has to be set up to show them. A file can be valid yet look flat or distorted when the player uses the wrong projection, stereo layout, or field of view.

CaptureGem saves VR shows from StripchatVR, Dreamcam and SexLikeReal as side-by-side files whose names end in _F120_LR: a 120-degree fisheye picture with the left and right eye next to each other. Start by opening the finished recording and confirming that it plays normally. In your player, choose fisheye projection and side-by-side stereo, and set the field of view to 120 degrees. In HereSphere (available on Steam), these are Fisheye and side-by-side (SBS) in the advanced settings; setting the aspect ratio to auto keeps the picture from looking stretched. Save a player preset if your player supports it.

CaptureGem marks the format only in the file name and doesn’t embed spatial metadata, so a player may not detect it automatically. Keep the original file while testing settings, and check recording troubleshooting if the video itself is incomplete or unplayable.
