Record SexLikeReal with CaptureGem

CaptureGem saves public SexLikeReal VR cam shows from the desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux. No SexLikeReal account is needed.

Before you start

Download CaptureGem for Windows, macOS or Linux and open the desktop app. Use the latest version.

What to paste or type

Open the model’s cam page from SexLikeReal’s VR cam section (https://www.sexlikereal.com/vr-cam-girls) and copy its address, such as https://www.sexlikereal.com/vr-cam-girls/model_label. The last part is the model’s label, which CaptureGem uses to find the show. Capitalization doesn’t matter.

Add the stream

  1. Open the Record tab in CaptureGem.
  2. Paste the link into Enter URL or Username in the Add Stream panel. CaptureGem recognizes it and sets Select Website to SexLikeReal. To type just the label instead, choose SexLikeReal under Select Website first.
  3. Leave Monitor Only switched off. With it on, CaptureGem only watches the stream and doesn’t save a video.
  4. Click Add Stream.

What the status means

When the model is broadcasting in VR, the row shows Recording within a few seconds. Otherwise the Status column tells you why:

  • Private: the model is in a private show.
  • Offline: the model is offline or away. A misspelled label also shows Offline, so copy the label from the model’s page if a live model stays Offline.
  • Errored with “video3D URL not found”: the model is online but isn’t sending a VR stream. CaptureGem records only SexLikeReal’s VR stream.

Free version or Premium

On the free version, each recording is saved for up to 5 minutes and you can add up to 10 models. Recording only starts if the model is live when you add or start them, so if they were offline, start the recording again once they’re back. Premium removes both limits and adds auto-record: select the model on the Record tab, open Modify Auto Record under Actions and choose Record Always. From then on CaptureGem records whenever the model comes online and starts again after a disconnect. Turning on Auto Record All Newly Added Models in Settings does the same for every model you add later. Live previews of everything that’s recording are on the Monitor tab.

Where the recording goes

After a recording stops, CaptureGem converts it into a video file, which can take a while for a long session. The Review tab lets you play, trim, tag or delete it, and Open Video Folder on the Record tab opens the folder that holds your files. Recordings are MP4 files by default. With Premium, each file runs up to 60 minutes by default and auto-record continues straight into the next one. The save folder, the file length (Cap Video Segments at Duration (Minutes)) and the container format are all in Settings; the settings overview on capturegem.com explains each option.

Playing the VR file

VR recordings are side-by-side MP4 files whose names end in _F120_LR: a 120-degree fisheye picture with the left-eye and right-eye views next to each other. Any VR video app that can open files from your computer will play them. In HereSphere (available on Steam), open the advanced settings, choose Fisheye and side-by-side (SBS), set the field of view to 120 degrees, and set the aspect ratio to auto so the picture isn’t stretched. SexLikeReal notes and troubleshooting

  • Open In Browser: for SexLikeReal models, Open In Browser goes to the SexLikeReal home page rather than the model’s page.
  • Bandwidth: SexLikeReal cam shows arrive as a single high-resolution VR stream, so Max Resolution Per Site has no effect on SexLikeReal recordings. Monitor Only downloads the full VR stream as well, so it uses as much bandwidth as recording.
  • Thumbnails: preview images on the Review and Monitor tabs show only the left eye of the VR picture.
  • Dropped connections: if the stream drops, CaptureGem reconnects immediately and carries on in a new part; the parts are joined into one video during conversion. If recordings keep stopping early, check your connection speed or raise Network Timeout (Seconds) in Settings > Advanced Settings.
  • Recording won’t convert: update CaptureGem to the latest version; it repairs many damaged VR recordings when it converts them. A broadcast that never sent a complete picture can’t be converted.
