Record Sexchat.hu with CaptureGem

CaptureGem saves public (free) Sexchat.hu shows from the desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux. It watches as a guest, so you don’t need a Sexchat.hu account.
Before you start
Download CaptureGem for Windows, macOS or Linux and open the desktop app. Use the latest version.
What to paste or type
Open the model’s chat page. Its address looks like https://sexchat.hu/mypage/12345/ModelName/chat: the number is the room number and ModelName is the screen name.
- Screen name: matched exactly, capitalization included, so
ModelNameandmodelnamecount as different names. - Room number: use it instead when the screen name has spaces, emoji, accented letters or punctuation. CaptureGem keeps only letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores in a name, so names like that can’t be matched.
Add the stream
- Open the Record tab in CaptureGem.
- Paste the chat page link (the one ending in
/chat) into Enter URL or Username in the Add Stream panel. CaptureGem selects Sexchat.hu and takes the screen name from the link. You can also choose Sexchat.hu under Select Website and type the screen name or room number. - Leave Monitor Only switched off. With it on, CaptureGem only watches the stream and doesn’t save a video.
- Click Add Stream.
What the status means
A model in a free show switches to Recording within a few seconds. Otherwise the Status column tells you why:
- Private: the model is in a VIP, group or private show.
- Offline: the model’s room is offline.
- Errored with “not found in performers list”: CaptureGem looks screen names up in Sexchat.hu’s list of models, and this one didn’t match. Check the capitalization, or add the model by room number.
Hover over a status to see more detail, including the reason behind an Errored status.
Free version or Premium
On the free version, each recording is saved for up to 5 minutes and you can add up to 10 models. Recording only starts if the model is live when you add or start them, so if they were offline, start the recording again once they’re back. Premium removes both limits and adds auto-record: select the model on the Record tab, open Modify Auto Record under Actions and choose Record Always. From then on CaptureGem records whenever the model comes online and starts again after a disconnect. Turning on Auto Record All Newly Added Models in Settings does the same for every model you add later. Live previews of everything that’s recording are on the Monitor tab.
Where the recording goes
After a recording stops, CaptureGem converts it into a video file, which can take a while for a long session. The Review tab lets you play, trim, tag or delete it, and Open Video Folder on the Record tab opens the folder that holds your files. Recordings are MP4 files by default. With Premium, each file runs up to 60 minutes by default and auto-record continues straight into the next one. The save folder, the file length (Cap Video Segments at Duration (Minutes)) and the container format are all in Settings; the settings overview on capturegem.com explains each option.
Sexchat.hu notes and troubleshooting
- Free shows are scarce: usually only a handful of Sexchat.hu models are in a free show at any moment. A model in a VIP, group or private show shows Private until they return to a free show.
- Open In Browser: for Sexchat.hu models, Open In Browser goes to the Sexchat.hu home page rather than the model’s page.
- Quality: set a lower Sexchat.hu limit under Max Resolution Per Site in Settings > Advanced Settings to save bandwidth and disk space.
- Private shows: CaptureGem saves public shows. If you can watch a private show in your own browser, the Premium Proxy feature can record it; capturegem.com has proxy guides for Windows, macOS and Linux.
